Misfit Vapor release date is finally set and it's only a week away

Way back in January this year we were treated to a sneak peek at Misfit's first ever smartwatch and the company has now confirmed it's ready to release this piece of wristwear.

Those in the US will be able to buy the Misfit Vapor from October 31 - that's only a week away - from the official website for $199.99 (about £160, AU$270).

So far we've yet to have word on whether the Vapor will be launching in other markets around the world but we hope to hear details for the UK and Australia soon.

Spotted through the mist

The Vapor comes with a 1.39-inch AMOLED display, runs apps like a smartwatch but also has all of the fitness tracking know-how as normal Misfit products such as the Shine 2 or the Phase.

Originally it was announced Misfit would include built-in GPS, but the company has now opted for connected GPS so you'll need to use it alongside your phone.

The watch will also come with Android Wear 2.0 built in as well as a selection of different customizable watch faces designed specifically by Misfit but you can then tailor elements too.
