The iPhone 8 was the gadget everyone was Googling the most in 2017
Smartphones dominated in 2017.
That's according to Google's Year in Search report, which highlights the top-trending searches in the US over the past 12 months — terms that had the highest spike in traffic this year compared to 2016.
While devices like the Nintendo Switch and Apple Watch Series 3 were among the most-searched tech products, it was smartphones from Samsung, Google, and Apple that captured customers' attention.

10. Samsung Galaxy Note 8
Samsung's follow-up to last year's disastrous Galaxy Note 7 made its debut in September. The Note 8 packs in the best of what Samsung has to offer: the biggest screen, the most power, and advanced features like split-screen multitasking and stylus input.
The Note 8 starts at $930, and can go for as much as $960 depending on your carrier.
9. Apple Watch 3
Apple's third-generation Apple Watch, the Series 3, launched in September. The watch is nearly identical to previous versions, with one major difference: the Series 3 has a cellular connection that allows you to leave your phone at home and rely solely on the watch.
The Series 3 costs $399 with cellular or $329 without.
8. Google Pixel 2
In October, Google unveiled its second generation flagship phone: the Pixel 2. The phone, which starts at $649 and comes in two sizes, retained many of the features of last year's model while adding new camera options, new colors, more base storage, and a slightly faster processor.
