Comic super villain Peter Thiel reportedly submitted a bid for Gawker
Peter Thiel has reportedly made an offer to buy Gawker.
That's right, the billionaire who funded the Hulk Hogan lawsuit that shuttered the website wants to pick at its bones, Reuters reported on Thursday citing "people familiar with the matter."

This isn't a total surprise. He filed a motion in November claiming he was being unfairly prevented from bidding on the site.
A representative for Thiel did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Thiel is competing with other bidders to acquire Gawker domain names and nearly 200,000 archived articles, according to Reuters. Don't worry, other Gawker assets, like Deadspin and Jezebel, were already sold to Univision Holdings Inc. back in 2016. Read more...
