Michael Shannon watched 'The Shape of Water' win Best Picture from a dive bar
Sure, attending the Oscars is a dream come true for many people.
Except perhaps in Hollywood, where it's just another event that you have to get dressed up and look nice for.

Michael Shannon, who plays the terrifying colonel Richard Strickland in The Shape of Water, surely would've been invited to the Oscars on Sunday, given how many nominations the film received.
Instead, Shannon decided to spend it at a dive bar. Specifically Chicago's legendary Old Town Ale House, where he watched the Best Picture win on the TV with no sound, but with the subtitles on. Read more...
