‘Young and Dangerous’ Actors Get Together After 20 Years for the Crime-Action Movie ‘Golden Job’
Action stars of the ‘90s movie “Young and Dangerous” are reuniting once again to pull off another crime-action film titled “Golden Job.”
Erik Cheng, along with his fellow Hong Kong actors – or “brothers” – Jordan Chan, Michael Tse, Chin Ka-lok, and Jerry Lamb have all been tapped to star in the upcoming action movie, which is also joined by veteran actor Eric Tsang playing the group’s mentor, according to Sina as translated by AsiaOne.
Cheng, and the four other actors, first joined together in the 1996 Hong Kong crime film “Young and Dangerous” where they all played triad members.
In the upcoming film, which is totally unrelated to the one some 20 years before it, the five actors will assume the role of con artists who will get caught in the middle of a heist pulled by an international drug lord.
The movie, which is 90-minute long and directed and produced by Chin and Tsang, respectively, is packed with intense adrenaline pumping action shot in different countries such as Hungary, Montenegro, Japan, China, Taiwan, and Inner Mongolia.
“The spirit of brotherhood that these five actors share, both on screen and in real life, is a positive energy that our society needs,” action legend Jackie Chan said about the five actors who appeared on stage on July 18 during the 4th annual Jackie Chan action movie week to perform the theme of the film.
“Golden Job” is scheduled to hit the big screen in October 2018.
