'The Big Bang Theory' will go away for good in 2019
It used to be that there was one thing you could count on in this unpredictable media landscape, and that was that CBS' The Big Bang Theory would continue on until the end of time.
As of today, however, that's no longer the case.
Warner Bros. TV announced Wednesday that the upcoming twelfth season of The Big Bang Theory will be the last. By the end of its run, The Big Bang Theory will have clocked 279 episodes, setting the record for the longest-running multi-cam series ever.
"We, along with the cast, writers and crew, are extremely appreciative of the show’s success and aim to deliver a final season, and series finale, that will bring The Big Bang Theory to an epic creative close," reads the joint statement released by Warner Bros.
