Bei Bei the Panda is So Adorable Celebrating First Snowfall in Washington D.C.

An adorable giant panda reveling in the season’s first snowfall in Washington, D.C. has captured the hearts of netizens on social media.

Bei Bei, the three-year-old giant panda living at the Smithsonian National Zoo, was caught on film by his zookeepers frolicking in the snow.

 

The footage, which showed Bei Bei rolling and tumbling outside, was posted on YouTube on Thursday and has since been widely shared on social media.

Twitter users have since been expressing happiness for Bei Bei.

The young panda, who was named “Bei Bei” by Michelle Obama and Peng Liyuan in 2015, the first ladies of the United States and the People’s Republic of China, is part of the U.S.-China relations panda diplomacy. He will have to be sent to the People’s Republic of China next year when he turns four.

Bei Bei and his mother Mei Xiang can be viewed via a panda-cam at the National Zoo.
