Chinese Teen Breaks Two New Rubik’s Cube Guinness World Records on a Single Day

A Rubik’s Cube boy wonder from Xiamen, Fujian province, China recently broke two Guinness World Records consecutively in a single day.

In the first clip, 13-year-old Jianyu Que solved three puzzles simultaneously using both his hands and feet. He was able to start a new record of 1 minute and 36.39 seconds, according to Guinness World Records.

This isn’t the first time Que has demonstrated his amazing talent. Last year, the teen showcased the same puzzle solving skills during a children’s talent show, “Little Big Shots Australia.”

Que then broke the record for “Fastest time to solve a Rubik’s cube upside down.” He managed to achieve a time of 15.84 seconds, 1.6 seconds shorter than the previous record holder.

Que has been playing and solving the puzzle cube since he was 6.

When I was younger, I could hardly understand what [having a] dream really meant. It is Rubik’s cubes that have made my dream more concrete, and I believe that I have the power to strive for better results in the future,” the teen told Guinness.

For beginners, it may look much difficult to achieve these records. At first, I solved the cube’s by using the formulas, after million times of practice I was familiar with all the logic of the formulas and then I upgrade them to my own way,” Que added.

He currently holds a total of four Guinness World Records. Earlier this year, he broke the fastest time to solve three Rubik’s Cubes while juggling in just 5 minutes and 6.61 seconds.

Que is also the holder of the fastest time to solve a Rubik’s Cube (3x3x3) by a team of two records with a finishing time of 25.63 seconds. Both of these record-breaking attempts were set on the iDream of China TV show.

“Guinness World Records is a fair platform for challengers from all over the world. Once you set up your mind and you can accomplish anything,” Que said.
