Jon Stewart crashes 'The Late Show' to tell Mitch McConnell to do his job
Last week, Jon Stewart stepped up with an emotional speech to call for the full funding of the 9/11 first responders compensation fund, something which he slammed Congress for their inaction towards.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who Stewart regarded as an "impediment" in the process, appeared on Fox News to wonder why the comedian "is all bent out of shape" over the debacle. In a surprise appearance on The Late Show, Stewart hit back.
"I'm not bent out of shape, I'm fine," he said. "I'm bent out of shape for them. These are the first heroes and veterans and victims, of the great trillions of dollars War on Terror ... you think that would be enough to get Congress' attention. But apparently it's not." Read more...
