7 Disappointing Movies of 2019

2019 has been a pretty good year for movies and cinema overall, but still there’s been a few movies that have somehow missed the mark. Maybe they didn’t live up to the hype or they were simply written badly, there’s plenty of reasons for movies to tank at the box office or with the critics.

Let’s take a look at some of the most disappointing movies of 2019.

Dark Phoenix

I think many people will be happy that this is the last X-Men movie we’ll see before Marvel takes over and introduces them to the MCU. This series has truly ran its course by now. The story was horrible, the acting was worse, … This movie actually made me miss X-Men: The Last Stand.

Men In Black International

Oh look, a movie based on a franchise that was semi-profitable starring actors that have shown that they work well together (for comedy and serious purposes) in the MCU. What could go wrong ? Well, pretty much everything. This movie was hardly watchable, I have no idea how this got past initial screenings.

Hellboy

Considering how average the original movies were (and how popular superhero movies are lately), it was hard to imagine that this movie would be worse than the version made over a decade ago. Sadly, that’s exactly what it is. It’s much, much worse.
