LG's rollable OLED TV is finally up for sale, but it's going to cost you
LG has been teasing its rollable OLED TV for a while now. The company first showed a working prototype in January 2018, and we saw the finished product at last year's CES, in January 2019.
Now, the company has actually made the TV available for purchase in South Korea, at an eye-watering price of 100 million KRW ($87,000).
Called the LG Signature OLED R, the TV is worthy of a supervillain's lair. The OLED display rolls up from a rectangular aluminum base when needed and rolls back down when you want to enjoy the view of whatever's behind it. Ironically, this is ideal for small spaces, but someone who can spend 87,000 U.S. dollars on a TV probably doesn't live in a tiny apartment. Read more...
