Where to get 'Animal Crossing' on sale ahead of the Brewster expansion
SAVE $10.05: As of Sept. 24, Walmart has Animal Crossing: New Horizons on sale for just $49.94 — that's 17% off its $59.99 MSRP.
Brewster's back, baby: Nintendo announced at Thursday's Direct event that a forthcoming update to Animal Crossing: New Horizons will see the long-awaited return of the coffee-pouring pigeon character and his 24/7 café, The Roost.
Very little was revealed about the expansion, but we do know that Nintendo has plans to release it sometime in November. (More details to come at a special ACNH-themed Nintendo Direct in October.) In the meantime, anyone who *still* hasn't hopped on the Animal Crossing bandwagon can grab a copy of the game on sale at Walmart for just $49.95 — that's $10.05 (or 17%) off its usual retail price of $59.99, which beats its Black Friday discount by a few cents.

FWIW, Best Buy is the only other major retailer that has the game on sale — it was going for $50.99 there at the time of writing. Meanwhile, it's still $60 at Target, on Amazon, and in the Nintendo eShop.
Brewster was introduced to the series in the 2005 Nintendo DS game Animal Crossing: Wild World and last made an appearance in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, a 2012 release on the 3DS, so it's been a minute. He joins other fan faves like Isabelle and Tom Nook (as well as over 400 other NPCs) in New Horizons, a refreshingly chill social simulation game that tasks the player with turning a deserted, weedy island into a bustling, 5-star paradise — you can read Mashable's full review of it here.
