Vitamixes in general are known for their high-speeds and power that allow you to not only make drinks, but also dips, frozen treats, nut butters, and even fully-heated soups (that's without the assistance of a stove). This model in particular comes with presets for these concoctions (and the self-clean mode) on its touchscreen interface.

Here's where it really justifies its price though — this is a smart blender.
