When does Walmart's Black Friday sale start?
Black Friday 2021 officially lands on November 26, but Walmart has already started offering early deals online. Sales will continue through Cyber Monday, November 29.
Walmart's Deals for Days event launched November 3 and more early discounts arrived on November 22. Walmart stores are closed for Thanksgiving day; in-store Black Friday deals will launch on November 26 at 5 a.m. local time.
How we select the best Black Friday deals at Walmart
- We only choose products that meet our high standard of coverage, from brands we've tested and trust.
- We compare the prices against other retailers like Amazon, Target, and Best Buy and only include the deals that are the same or better (not including promotional discounts that come from using certain credit cards).
- We research price history thoroughly, to ensure that every deal we list is actually worth your time.
Does Walmart have curbside pickup?
For contact-free shopping, Walmart offers curbside pickup. All you need to do is place an order online and select your pickup time slot. A Walmart team member will do your shopping and load them into your car from there.
Alternatively, some items can even be ordered online and picked up the same day. All you have to do is keep an eye out for products marked "Free Pickup Today" when shopping. Same-day pickup items are made available within four hours of placing your order — you'll get an email when it's ready.
What Black Friday deals should you buy at Walmart?
Historically, Walmart's Black Friday markdowns are on par with those offered by Best Buy, Target, and Amazon — and we expect this year has been no different. Outside of a few select doorbusters, we anticipate each retailer to price-match their competitor's prices during Black Friday. Shoppers can expect big savings on several TVs, streaming media players, kitchen appliances, and more.
Should I sign up for Walmart+ before Black Friday?
Paid Walmart+ memberships include a few extra perks this holiday shopping season. Subscribers received access to each phase of Walmart's Deals for Days sale four hours earlier than other shoppers in the lead up to Black Friday. In addition, Walmart Plus continues to offer the same set of standard perks year-round, like free shipping, scan and go, and free grocery delivery.
The service costs $98 a year or $13 a month. Signing up for Walmart Plus is a good idea if you're a frequent Walmart shopper, regardless of Black Friday.
If you're not interested in early access to deals, however, you will be better off signing up for a Walmart Plus 15-day free trial right before Black Friday. The free trial gets you free shipping without an order minimum, meaning you can make as many impulse buys as you'd like without worrying about shipping costs. On the downside, the free trial does not grant you early access to deals.
