Meet Mads Mikkelsen's Grindelwald in nostalgic 'Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore' trailer

Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) and Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) are back to save the Wizarding World in the trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. They're facing off against an old enemy with a new face: Gellert Grindelwald. This time around, Mads Mikkelsen replaced Johnny Depp as the muggle-hating wizard.

Aside from re-introducing Grindelwald and showing off Dumbledore's ragtag team of witches and wizards, the trailer plays like a Harry Potter Greatest Hits Collection. Look, it's the Hogwarts Express! The Room of Requirement! The Great Hall! Aberforth! Warner Bros. may be presenting The Secrets of Dumbledore as its own epic tale, but the trailer makes it clear: This is a movie designed to maximize your nostalgia and remind you of those other movies you loved so much.

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is in theaters April 15, 2022.
