Astronaut Chris Hadfield tests a future Mars rover in Death Valley
Famed astronaut Chris Hadfield is spending some time on Earth testing what could be the future of spacefaring rovers. Developed by Astrolab, the FLEX (flexible logistics and exploration) rover is a vehicle designed to assist humans in spending prolonged periods of time on both the moon and Mars. Hadfield can be seen riding the rover through California's own Death Valley, a terrain which can somewhat resemble Mars.
