'A League of Their Own' trailer: Abbi Jacobson's new series puts spin on the baseball classic

It's been 30 years since A League of Their Own, starring Geena Davis and Tom Hanks, brought the story of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League to the big screen. Now, Prime Video's new series takes another look at the World War II-era baseball league, this time with new characters.

Starring Abbi Jacobson, Chanté Adams, D'Arcy Carden, Nick Offerman, and more, A League of Their Own follows players in the newly formed All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. The series also promises a deeper look at these players' lives through a lens of race and sexuality, exploring Black players like Max's (Adams) fight to play and the relationships that form between members of the team.

All episodes of A League of Their Own are streaming Aug. 12 on Prime Video.
