Like Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Amazon Prime Day has become another much-anticipated annual sales event. This year, Prime Day is scheduled for Tuesday, July 12 through Wednesday, July 13, and early Prime Day 2022 deals are already popping up.

Competing retailers like Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and others have also begun launching rival sales events, discounting big-ticket items like Apple products, TVs, and popular kitchen gadgets. With so many retail competitors vying for your business, this is a great time to score items big and small that you've been eyeing. You won't need a Prime membership to shop for these alternative sales, either.

To help you make the most of shopping at other retailers during Prime Day, we've answered a few frequently asked questions about these competing Prime Day sales below. We'll also add the best deals we see on other sites as they go live. Here's a list of competing Amazon Prime Day 2022 sales so far.

Walmart

In the past, Walmart held a "Deals for Days" event to rival Prime Day. However, the retailer announced it won't hold the event in 2022. Instead, it will continue to offer daily deals, which we will track.

Target

This year's Target Deal Days event will be online from July 11 to 13. Target's sales event often includes savings on vacuums, Apple products, kitchen appliances, and headphones.

There are also early deals, including "deal of the day" special discounts. These daily deals can include home decor, electronics, and more. You can already find discounts on popular products such as the Google Nest Audio, Apple AirPods Pro, Beats by Dre products, Casper mattresses, and Ninja blenders.

Best Buy

Best Buy's Black Friday in July Sale takes place July 11 to 13. Best Buy's competing Prime Day discounts are open to all shoppers. However, My Best Buy rewards members may get exclusive savings or early access to deals. (Not a member? It's free to sign up.)

Best Buy's Black Friday in July Sale promotions often include up to 50% off gaming laptops, small kitchen appliances, and phones. We expect the same this year and will add more deals as they appear. So far, you can already find up to 46% off headphones from brands such as Bose, Sony, and Beats — as well as 20% off TVs and up to 13% off smartwatches. But, you'll likely see steeper discounts on the products that remain in stock closer to Prime Day.

eBay

Last year, eBay had a few sales on home and kitchen tools and Google Nest devices. We'll add eBay's deals as they become available in July. Right now, you can save up to 60% off golf equipment or use the code "SUMMER20SAVE" at checkout for 20% off select products that range from Dyson hair dryers to Bose wireless earbuds.

Kohl's

Kohl's Summer Cyber Deals event occurs during Amazon Prime Day, July 12 and 13. From July 11 to 14, additional buy one, get one for $1 deals will be taking place in-store and online.

Sale shoppers can earn $10 of Kohl's Cash on every $50 to be spent on future purchases. Kohl's Card holders can sometimes get an additional discount on the event's deals and promotions.

Bed Bath & Beyond

Bed Bath & Beyond's Beyond Big Savings Event has already kicked off ahead of Prime Day with up to 50% off popular products.

The Home Depot

The Home Depot ran a Special Buy of the Day sale during last year's Prime Day, with discounts on outdoor tools, grills, and patio furniture.

We expect Home Depot to start adding deals closer to Prime Day. For now, Home Depot is running an appliance sale through July 13 with up to 25% off select items and additional savings when you buy two or more appliances.

Backcountry

Outdoor gear retailer Backcountry held a 48-hour Flash Sale last year. There were discounts on Norrona, Salomon, Sorel, and other top brands.

Chewy

Last month, Chewy ran its annual Blue Box Event with some of the best discounts we've ever seen on pet products, including food, treats, supplies, and flea treatments. To coincide with Prime Day, we expect to see their usual price matching along with some special deals.

It depends on what you're shopping for. Amazon Prime Day is an Amazon event. The best offers will be on Amazon products.

That includes its Echo smart speakers, Amazon Music Unlimited subscriptions, and Amazon-brand groceries.

With major retailers like Walmart, Kohl's, and Target running competing sales alongside Prime Day, you have some leeway to shop around for better deals on what you need.

Can anyone buy Amazon Prime Day deals?

Amazon Prime Day deals are for Amazon Prime members only. If you're not a member yet and aren't keen to purchase a full membership, you can take advantage of a free 30-day trial with full benefits.

However, Prime membership comes with other benefits you can take advantage of year-round, so it's worth signing up if you shop at Amazon often.

The appeal of competing Prime Day deals is that they're open to the general public. Stores like Walmart may peddle membership offers, but outside of Amazon Prime Day, these sales are otherwise inclusive.
