'Poker Face' episode 7: Natasha Lyonne learns some racing tips from Charles Melton in this exclusive clip
Poker Face's Charlie Cale (Natasha Lyonne) has used her abilities as a human lie detector to solve murders everywhere from a barbecue joint to a local dinner theater. Now in episode 7, airing Feb. 16 on Peacock, she takes her skills to the fast-paced world of car racing. Titled "The Future of the Sport," this episode pits veteran driver Kyle Owens (Tim Blake Nelson) against young upstart Davis McDowell (Charles Melton), with explosive results.
In an exclusive clip from Peacock, Davis teaches Charlie about car racing with the help of an arcade game. Even though she knows the race isn't real, Charlie plays it way too safe — at one point, Davis straight-up steps on the gas for her. "You've got to trust the car," he tells her. "Do you trust the car?"
She does not, losing the race in epic fashion. Here's hoping she trusts her blue Plymouth Barracuda more than that video game car, otherwise she's never going to escape casino henchman Cliff LeGrand (Benjamin Bratt).
Even though she loses the (fake) race, Charlie still seems to have a good time. Plus, she's got a great rapport with Davis, suggesting she's found a friend in him while working at the local go-kart complex. Will Davis end up being this episode's murderer, or its murder victim? Will Charlie solve yet another crime, or will she crash and burn? We'll have to wait until Thursday to find out.
The first 6 episodes of Poker Face are now streaming on Peacock, with new episodes every Thursday.
