Home Depot's 12-foot skeleton just got its first limited restock of 2023 (update: it's gone)
UPDATE: May 1, 2023, 9:25 a.m. EDT Home Depot's Original 12-Foot Skeleton ($299) has sold out its first restock of 2023, but limited supplies of the Inferno Pumpkin Skeleton ($379) were still available at the time of writing. Our original story follows.
Twelve-foot skeletons? For spring? Groundbreaking.
Home Depot has released a surprise late-April restock of its legendary 12-foot giant skeleton with LCD LifeEyes ($299), the endearingly macabre prop that's become a fixture on America's lawns and social media feeds since its initial debut to pandemic-fueled fanfare in 2020. The drop comes as part of a "Halfway to Halloween" event marking six months to the holiday.
Our beloved Skelly is joined once again by the upgraded 12-foot Inferno Pumpkin skeleton with a glowing ribcage and rotted, rootlike bones, which is $379 for 2023 — a continuation of last year's $30 price bump. (No one is safe from inflation.)

For anyone hooting and hollering about how it's literally only April, know that taking advantage of an early restock is probably the best way to ensure you get one of these Big Boys before spooky season is in full swing. Don't count on demand subsiding from previous years: Home Depot lists inventory numbers on its website, and about 200 of each skeleton sold out while I was writing this article.
May those animated LifeEyes look upon you with kindness.
