The arrival of the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer in 2016 signaled a new direction for the vacuum brand, which has since proved itself a top innovator in hair styling technology. The standard package of the Dyson Supersonic, including the hair dryer itself and five styling attachments, will usually set you back $430. The lowest we've ever seen it on sale for was during the most recent Amazon Prime Day event at $365.49. But this Black Friday, it's on sale for just $343.99 at Amazon using attached on-page coupon.

Is the Dyson Supersonic worth it? 

Yes, I can tell you firsthand that this really is the best hair dryer. Before I ever heard of the Supersonic, I didn't even know a hair dryer could be that expensive. Then, when I finally invested in one for myself, it genuinely delivered everything I could ask for in a hair dryer — which is a lot, because I have thick, curly hair.

The Dyson hair dryer dries my hair quickly without causing it to fry against a hot air vent. I get the most use out of its medium heat setting and curl-diffusing attachment, but regardless of what routine suits your hair type best, the Supersonic will generate negative ions that work to break up water molecules and seal the hair's cuticle in order to provide a smooth, frizz-free finish.

It helps that the Supersonic is so lightweight, because it takes much less effort to lift above my head, and it's easy to pack in a weekend bag. I also appreciate that it's remarkably quiet, as its tiny motor is inaudible to the human ear, and the only sound it makes is from its airflow.
