  • Margot Robbie has channeled various versions of Barbie to promote the "Barbie" movie.
  • At Sunday's 81st Golden Globes, Robbie brought 1970s "Superstar Barbie" to life with the help of fashion house Armani.

This outfit was inspired by the 1977 Superstar Barbie doll, according to stylist Andrew Mukamal.

Robbie collaborated with Armani to create this stunning sequined pink gown.

Before the press tour began, Margot Robbie was already channeling Barbie at CinemaCon in April.

Margot Robbie and the "Barbie" cast attended the Warner Bros. Pictures presentation at CinemaCon in April.

Robbie wore a Prada top and skirt, which is similar to the pink gingham dress she wears early in the movie. This look appears to be inspired by the 1964 "Dancing Doll" Barbie.

The "Barbie" global press tour began in Los Angeles in June, where Robbie went for an update to some of the doll's more retro looks.

Robbie's stylist, Andrew Mukamal, said on Instagram that this outfit was inspired by the 2015 Pink & Fabulous Barbie doll.

The "Barbie" star wore a halter Valentino minidress and white Manolo Blahnik heels, according to Elle.

In the highly anticipated movie, Robbie plays the titular character as she goes on a journey of self-discovery. The movie, directed by Greta Gerwig, has a star-studded cast that includes Ryan Gosling, Will Ferrell, Issa Rae, Helen Mirren, and John Cena.

Next on the tour was Australia, where Robbie channeled the outfit worn by the original 1959 Barbie.

The updated play on Barbie's first swimsuit was designed by Hervé Léger.

In the scene, Barbie is depicted as a giant among children.

Barbie was first released in 1959, and the doll wore a striped swimsuit, black heels, and sunglasses for her debut.

Robbie attended Vogue's "Barbie" celebration party at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney in June, wearing this Versace number.

While this outfit isn't based on a particular Barbie doll, the Versace pink metallic minidress still fits the movie's color theme.

This Versace look doesn't appear to have been inspired by a specific Barbie doll but is reminiscent of a look once worn on the runway by the model Claudia Schiffer.

At the "Barbie" premiere in Seoul, South Korea, in early July, Robbie went a step further when she wore two Barbie-inspired outfits.

Margot channeled the 1985 Day to Night edition of Barbie.

The 1985 Day to Night edition of Barbie featured a reversible skirt that allowed children to change between the two outfits, hence why Robbie had her own transformation on the night.

The look Robbie wore was designed by Versace and styled by her stylist Andrew Mukamal.

The next day, Robbie dressed as a '60s Barbie when arriving at a Seoul press conference.

Mukamal said on Instagram that the Moschino-designed outfit was inspired by the 1964 Sparkling Pink version of Barbie.

Robbie jumped to the '90s for inspiration for the premiere in Naucalpan de Juarez, Mexico, in early July.

Robbie even had similar accessories to match Earring Magic Barbie.

Robbie offered her take on "Earring Magic Barbie" by donning a sheer long-sleeved top over a strapless neon pink Balmain minidress to the carpet.

Robbie stuck with the 90s for her next outfit at the Mexico photocall at Four Seasons Hotel Mexico City in July.

Robbie's stylist Mukamal captioned a photo of Robbie in a Pucci minidress with Chanel bow-like earrings and Manolo Blahnik heels as "TOTALLY HAIR 92," a reference to the crimped-hair Barbie doll released in the early '90s.

At the "Barbie" world premiere in Los Angeles in July, Robbie opted for a classy '60s Barbie look.

Mukamal dressed Robbie in a glittering Schiaparelli gown and paired it with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and Manolo Blahnik heels.

Robbie remained retro for the London premiere, also in July, with a look inspired by "Enchanted Evening" Barbie, a look first released in the 1960s.

Robbie's Vivienne Westwood gown featured a tulle stole to mimic the original Barbie's faux fur, a rosette appliqué, and a detachable train.

Robbie also wore a stacked pearl collar and PVC pumps.

On the same day, Robbie changed into another outfit for a London photocall — this time a daring minidress inspired by an early 60s Barbie look.

Robbie wore a Dilara Findikoglu minidress as her last "Barbie" outfit before the SAG-AFTRA strike.

This look appears to be inspired by a 1962 swimsuit Barbie, which came with her own sunglasses and hairpins.

In November, Robbie wore an outfit inspired by the 2015 "Cherry Pie Picnic" Barbie.
