Get the Roomba j7 for a new all-time low price and fall in love with your floors again
SAVE $302: As of Feb. 14, the iRobot Roomba j7 is $297.99, down from $599.99, at Amazon. That's a 50% discount for this high-end Roomba and a new all-time low price.
Since iRobot doesn't do CES, we're not spending February and March anticipating the spring release of any new robot vacuums announced at the January event. That also means we're not expecting any new, wild deals on older models that are about to be demoted to "second-newest." But a new, wild deal on a second-newest Roomba popped up anyway.
As of Feb. 14, the 2021 Roomba j7 is on sale for $297.99 at Amazon after a huge $302 discount. That's a 50% discount and a new all-time low price by a whole $50. This steep of a discount on a j Series Roomba is a deal usually only seen during major shopping events like Prime Day (which is when we saw the self-emptying version of the j7, the j7+, at 50% off in October). Why Valentine's Day was the prime time to drop the j7 to its lowest price in history is unknown, but if you need a gift idea for a not-so-gushy, neatnik loved one (or your hardworking self), here it is.
The j7 was the first to introduce iRobot's small obstacle avoidance technology that can recognize and avoid things on the floor that would usually be a robot vac's nightmare: phone chargers, socks, pet waste, and things like that. We first experienced it when testing the Combo j7 (technically identical, but with a mop) and can confirm it's a game changer.
The main difference between the Roomba j7 and the newer j9 is suction power. The j9 Series, released in Sept. 2023, are the most powerful robot vacuums that iRobot has ever made. While the j9+ or Combo j9+ would be the smart choice for homes with carpet and several shedding pets, the j7 on sale here will still provide a solid everyday clean on all floor types, and for a lot less cash. Small obstacle avoidance also makes the j7 a much better choice than the older Roomba i7, which is much less mindful.
Grab this deal while it lasts and kiss vacuuming goodbye.
