The biggest game in club football is almost here, and you're just a few clicks away from enjoying it. We've researched dozens of international TV guides to bring you a comprehensive guide for everything you need to know on where to watch the Champions League final for free, wherever you are.

Free Real Madrid vs. Dortmund live streams are available in various countries around Europe, such as the UK, Austria, Luxembourg, and Spain. We've also highlighted some paid options in other countries. If you try to watch any of the free Champions League live streams from outside their host countries, geo-blocking will cut you off unless you use a VPN to bypass this by digitally altering your viewing location. Thankfully, it's super simple, requiring no technical know-how, and we've been able to access games in every round of the tournament via these options throughout the season.

You'll find all of the best links to watch the Champions League final below, and there are a few quick tips on how to use the VPN if you need one, too. It'll be worth keeping hold of the VPN after the game as you can use it for many more free streaming opportunities, such as the Olympics and the entire Euro 2024 tournament. They're also excellent apps for protecting your online privacy and boosting digital security on our devices.

*Spain's RTVE is free, but you must create a free login to access the free Champions League streams. TNT Sport is ditching the fees for the final, but you still need to sign up for a free account (the free tier is below the paid options on their site) to watch the Champions League final online. Australian streaming service Stan includes a 30-day free trial for the required baseline tier, but the Stan Sport add-on is billed at $15 immediately for a month's access.

Where to watch Real Madrid vs. Dortmund free from anywhere

As mentioned in the box above, numerous European channels are showing the game for free today. If you're not in those countries, you can still watch by using a VPN to mimic the required country for your viewing device and prevent the website from detecting your location and blocking you.

Don't have one? Right now, there's a fantastic offer on the best VPN we've tested and used for years to stream and protect our online devices. You can save 49% on the usual price of ExpressVPN and get three months for free. If you're unsatisfied, there's a hassle-free 30-day money-back guarantee. Still not entirely sure you need one? Take a look at our detailed ExpressVPN review to see why we rate it number 1. Then get stuck in and enjoy this free Champions League live stream.

Where to watch Real Madrid vs. Dortmund in the UK

While Discovery+ has had the Champions League rights this season, we're happy to report it's continuing BT Sport's tradition of showing the final for free. However, it's not on YouTube this time.

Instead, you can watch it on the Discovery+/TNT Sport app. You only need to create a free account, so don't feel like you need to sign up for one of the paid tiers.

Head on over to Discovery+, and click Sign up, then on the next page, scroll down past the suggestions for paid subscriptions and hit the Register button next to where it says 'Register to watch free content'. All free, no banking details or reminders to cancel required.

Where to watch Real Madrid vs. Dortmund in the US

There isn't a local free option to watch the Champions League final in the US. But if you have CBS in your cable package, you can see it live on TV. Alternately, as with every CL match this season, you'll find the game on Paramount Plus, which is a real steal for soccer fans in the US at just $5.99 a month. Or just enjoy the free trial over the weekend if you've not tried it before.

Alternatively, a VPN will allow you to enjoy one of the free European live streams we mentioned earlier.

Where to watch Real Madrid vs. Dortmund in Australia

The Champions League final is on Stan Sport in Australia. So you'll need to sign up for Stan and then add Stan Sport as an add-on. The cheapest setup is $25 a month (for Stan Basic at $10 and Sport at $15). Better yet, it comes with a 30-day free trial first for the baseline tier - you'll still pay $15 for the Sport add-on from the off, though.

Stan Basic only streams in standard definition, but Stan Sport's content will stream in up to 4K, even when paired with this cheapest tier, so you might as well go Basic if you're just getting it for sport. However, if you want to check out the TV shows and movies too, HD is $16 a month/$21 for 4K (then add $15 for Sport). All are on rolling one-month contracts, so there's no long-term commitment.

Note: The use of VPNs is illegal in certain countries, and using VPNs to access region-locked streaming content might constitute a breach of the terms of use for certain services. Insider does not endorse or condone the illegal use of VPNs.
