Saturday Night Live was in the news last week after musical guest Kanye West went on a post-show #MAGA rant and clips from the unaired moment made their way online. That's why the show itself was the subject of an entire segment on the latest Weekend Update.
Pete Davidson sat down to push his way through the fourth wall and talk about the experience of standing behind Kanye while he made his little speech. And in between all the Weekend Update-friendly one-liners, you can see shreds of real talk peeking through.
Davidson clears up some of the drama, or at least offers another perspective on things. He didn't see anyone bullying Kanye for his MAGA hat, as had been suggested.
