'SNL' imagines the dark future of Trump's presidential alert system
A nightmare became reality on Wednesday when the presidential text alert system sent its first test. Now, Donald Trump can technically text all of us whenever he wants, although it probably won't actually shake out that way.
Still, it's equal parts fun and terrifying to imagine the texts Trump might want to blast to the entire country, which SNL tackled in its "Emergency Alert" sketch Saturday night. The whole thing is framed as a commercial for Cricket Wireless — their service is so bad, you won't get the alerts at all. Where do we sign up?
