A DS Domination Review – Is The Company Legit Or Is The Compensation Plan A Scam?
Company: DS Domination
Website: http://ift.tt/1vgXy7m
There are usually two ways a MLM business review can go.
The first is that the company is great and you can make massive amounts of money.
These kinds of review are typically written by affiliates of the company being reviewed.
The second way is that the company is a complete scam and you will lose your money and dignity if you join.
These kinds of articles are typically written by people that may have been wronged by a MLM.
Either way, these two outlooks seem to always be juxtaposed against each other.
This is where my reviews are different. I am not an affiliate and I have never been scammed by a MLM.
I base all of my analysis on information backed by several sources and the company’s main website.
There will also be a pro/con outlook on each fact so that YOU are the one making the decision.
I hope you enjoy this review & I hope it helps you find what you are looking for.
A DS Domination Overview
This company was created by 3 founders, Roger Langille, Kevin Hokoana and Hitesh Juneja.
These 3 have been a part of the network marketing game for a while and they decided to start a company.
Another name that you might know it as is Drop Ship Domination and this is because the entire training and implication business is based on drop shipping.
DS Domination uses eBay as its platform.
Here is a better look at the concept. You list an item that is discounted or wholesale on eBay for a marked up price.
When the item is purchased you simply return to the company that is selling the item at a discounted price and send it directly to the person that bought it off of you on eBay.
On the upside, you never handle the inventory and take advantage of free/cheap shipping costs.
On the downside, it is slightly disingenuous because you are simply marking up an item that is being offered at a cheaper price.
Some look at this as immoral and this causes concern to many MLMers.
Now, back to the DS Domination overview…
The company was launched in 2013 and has thousands of members. This means that the company is always growing but how many of them are successful?
Plan To Get Paid…Or Not
In this section, I always start out with the products and then talk about the compensation plan. In essence, this is the most important part of the article because it shows you the earnings potential.
Products
PRO Training: ($19.95 Per Month)
This is considered to be the basic training package. You will be taught how to drop ship.
You will be shown how to make an eBay and paypal account so you can process all transactions.
Amazon is the go to supplier with this package and the average profit you will earn is $3-$20 per sale.
Elite Training: ($99.95 Per Month)
This is the second level of training and you learn advanced ways of ranking items and using keywords.
The package also includes the use of several suppliers other than Amazon which may make you more money.
The average profits are much higher, $20-$150 per sale.
Unleashed Training: ($249 One Time)
The training is similar to the Elite Package but shows you some of the best suppliers and trains you how to lower eBay and Paypal charges.
This is usually achieved by what is known as cash-back techniques which can save you up to 10%.
$150-$500 profit margin per sale.
Monopoly Training: ($499 One Time)
This package implements all of the training you got from the other packages and combines them by teaching you how to sell on Amazon.
The next fact will tell you exactly why selling on Amazon is important. There just happens to be less people selling and more people buying on Amazon.
This means two things for you; when people visit Amazon, they are ready to buy & you will not have to worry about an overload of competitors and sell multiple items in a day.
This is good news for your wallet, if you can pull it off.
Genesis Training: ($1499 One Time)
The main focus of this package is to teach you how to leverage wholesalers from around the world, typically China and other cheap manufacturing countries.
The program is through Amazon, FBA. This means the Amazon will get shipments from wholesalers in other locations and house them for you while you are selling them.
When you make the sales, Amazon tracks them and sends them. Amazon will even take care of returns and the customer service side.
Sounds great right… But look at that price tag.
So far, the training looks great and these skills can be utilized to make some serious cash.
The only thing that bothers me is that the prices are high and it is a huge investment for most people.
Let’s see if these high prices are worth it in the compensation program section.
Compensation Plan
To be perfectly honest, this is one of the most simplistic compensation plan I have ever seen. This can be a good and bad thing but I will get to that later.
There are two qualifications to make commissions on all of your sales. You have to pay your $9.95 monthly affiliate fee and you must own the DS Domination products.
Next, there are 10 levels of commission payments.
The first five tiers are unlocked once you sponsor your first active affiliate.
This is pretty good considering you only have to find 1 sponsor.
I have done many MLM reviews and the sponsor qualifications are much higher.
Here is where things take a turn for the worse…
In order to open up the last 5 tiers, you have to recruit 14 affiliates.
The only things saving this part of the compensation plan is that the last 5 tiers are low payouts.
So as long as you get your first sponsor quickly, you can start making some money.
- Tier 1: 50% commission.
This is the figure for all of your personal sponsors. If you know how to recruit, the sky is the limit.
I’m not going to site any figures but if your sponsors are dedicated, you can make a living off of their sales.
- Tier2: 10% commission.
- Tier3: 5%
- Tier4: 3%
- Tier5: 2%
- Tier6-10: 1%
This is where I come out on the compensation plan.
It is simple and if you decide to do the sponsoring side of DS Domination it can make you money.
However, roughly 84% of all DS Domination members ignore the affiliate aspect and just use the training that they purchased as a way to make money.
This is simply because most members do not want their success to be determined by other people.
That is the reality of this kind of MLM. Having two different ways to conduct business is nice.
The Positives Of DS Domination
I have to admit that the most significant positive of the DS Domination is the training.
Not many MLMs provide such intense training, especially training that can be use in two ways.
You can put the training to use and start your on eBay/Amazon DS business or you can try your luck finding sponsors.
Both are viable ways of making money although the more successful way is to do your own DS business.
Besides, the vast majority of the success stories and testimonies I read were from people that put the training to good use.
The training is also easy to understand and you can make money while you are training rather than waiting until the training is finished.
This is rather unique in the MLM world.
The Negatives Of DS Domination
The most troubling part of DS Domination is the fact that there is no money back guaranteed.
This may not seem like a big deal but if you end up making a big investment with some cheap product that you think is going to sell and it doesn’t…
Well you know where this is going.
On the flip side of this argument, people should not make massive purchases from cheap wholesalers unless you are a Direct Ship master.
Another weakness is that you will have to dedicate lots of time and money to get started.
This is troubling because if you know how to research properly, you can get most of the information for free. Yes, that is right…..for….FREE!!!!
The Final Verdict
DS Domination has me caught between a rock and a hard place.
I can come up with several pros and cons that could make or break the deal.
With that being said, the business is in no way a scam because they do provide goods and services.
However, the vast majority of the affiliates are just buying a training package and steering clear of the MLM side.
All in all, DS Domination is NOT a bad way to make money.
Now it is time for you to share your experiences with the company or just add to the conversation.
