A Zurvita Review – Is It Legit Or Are The Products A Scam?

If you are reading this review you have probably been approached by someone or have seen an advertisement on social media.
Regardless of the reason, you are doing research to see if this company is legit and if you can make some serious cash.
I mean, why else would you invest your time and money with an MLM.
This is where my reviews come into play.
I am a 3rd party reviewer that takes information provided by the company itself, news articles & government agencies to see if the company actually does what it says it does.
I have ZERO connection or affiliation with the companies that I review so you don’t have to worry about any biased rhetoric.
Once I gather the information I provide a business overview, list of products or services, compensation plan analysis, and Better Business Bureau information.
I conclude the review with a final verdict which will have some sort of recommendation depending on my findings.
If the company is legit, then I have no problem stating so.
If the company is a scam, I have no problem stating that either.
Either way, the final decision is yours and yours alone, so read the review in its entirety so that you can make an informed decision. Let’s get started.
A Zurvita International Overview
Zurvita International was founded by Mark Jarvis in March of 2008.
Jarvis had no problem focusing on the fact that Zurvita is a “faith-based” online business opportunity.
Look, there is nothing wrong with this but many people are turned off of this kind of business.
I’m not sure why religion has to be a focal point of a company but apparently I’m don’t know something Zurvita leadership does.
Although this company got off to a great start, they dropped off a cliff in 2015.
At one point, they were worth 40 cents a share and in late 2015, they fell to 10 cents.
Well, Zurvita found a way to help the company expand by hiring leadership from other MLMs.
This is a common practice in the MLM world but Zurvita was also asking top affiliates from other MLMs to stimulate the stagnant compensation plan going.
OK, let’s take a look at the products.
Products & Services
Aside from a company’s leadership, products are the most important aspect of the company.
If the products are marginal so is the company.
At any rate, let’s take a look at the Zurvita International product line.
ZEAL FOR LIFE
Flavors: Kiwi Watermelon, Wild Berry, Grape & Tropic Dream
Claims: Boosts energy, optimize health, enrich & protect your body, maintain a healthy weight
Includes: Vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, amino acids, micronutrients and phytonutrients
ZURVITA PROTEIN
Flavors: Chocolate Delight & Vanilla Crème
Claims: Builds muscle, maintains strong bones, boosts metabolism, repairs tissue & promotes heart healthy
WEIGHT MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
This package comes with the entire product line.
Protein
Zeal
Burn & Cleanse
Claims: Personal growth/development, exercise combined with these products stimulate health, weight management balanced nutrition
Ok, as you have noticed, I simply listed products with health claims and ingredients.
OK, everything seems legit right…
Not so fast.
Look at the disclaimers that follow every product.
What is sounds like is that Zurvita claim all of these benefits but there is absolutely ZERO scientific basis on such claims.
The reason I say so is that the World Health Organization and National Health Services strongly state that supplements may actually be harmful to people rather than promote health.
Like I said, I call it like I see it.
It is up to you to make the final decision but the company is looking more and more like a typical Health & Wellness niche rather than a revolutionary formula.
Compensation Plan
There are two mini sections that I include in this part of my reviews.
The actual breakdown of the compensation plan and the company’s Income Disclosure Statement (IDS).
Keep in mind that some companies do not make the IDS readily available. So when they do, I include them because they reveal a few important factors about MLMs, in this case, Zurvita International.
Period of August 1, 2014 to July 31, 2015
Believe it or not, the first two ranks tell an unfortunate truth about this online business opportunity.
Business Consultant – 23.6% of entire Consultant body / Annual Average Income $134
Managing Consultant – 60.9% of entire Consultant body / Annual Average Income $376
Wow, where to begin?
If you combine these two groups, 84.5% of all consultants make between $11-$31 dollars a month.
This is not a good look at all.
I actually don’t know what to say besides the fact that only a minute percentage of people in this company actually make enough money to support themselves or their families.
How do I know this?
Well, let’s look at the last two ranks to confirm this.
Presidential Director – .42% of entire Consultant body / Annual Average Income $24,062
Ambassador – .14% of entire Consultant body / Annual Average Income $136,883
These are the only two ranks that offer a livable wage and that is being generous because these are average.
In my honest opinion, anything under $24k can barely support a single person or a couple with no children.
The other factor is that these are averages, so there could be some people still living from paycheck to paycheck.
All of this is scary because there is a lot of effort that goes into the recruitment process which is what the compensation plan is all about.
If you think about it, doesn’t this look a bit like a pyramid scheme?
All the money is at the top and the vast majority of Consultants are making peanuts at the bottom.

OK, the information I provided are just the nuts and bolts of the operation but I highly recommend that you spend some time reading the entire compensation plan.
There may be several ways to earn money and several promotion ranks but the requirements are always a bit out of touch.
This means that the name of the game is purely recruitment and hoping that your team is as dedicated as you are.
From looking at the data in the Income Disclosure Agreement, it is tough to find successful Consultants that can generate sales.
Better Business Bureau (BBB)
The BBB is a great way to check out the way a company handles customer complaints but that is about it.
You see, BBB doesn’t endorse a company it just purely looks at the number of complaints and determines if a company handles them in a timely manner.
At any rate, let’s take a look at the what BBB has to say about Zurvita International.
OK, good news, it has an A+ grade and doesn’t have that many customer complaints in the last year.
CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS SUMMARY – 15 complaints closed in last 3 years & 5 closed in the last 12 months.

Positive Experience: 1
Negative Experience: 1
If you look at the first comment, it seems more like a sales pitch rather than a review of the company.
The negative comment however, brings up the same argument that I have made in an earlier section of the review.
The company claims that the compensation plan is product driven but it is without a doubt recruitment driven.
This is how people make money.
No recruits, no money.
It’s as simple as that.
Things I Don’t Like About Zurvita International
1. One of the biggest issues I have, besides the ones already discussed is the cancellation procedures.
First of all, if you remain at 0 Personal BV for a month then your account is inactive.
Who knows what kind of reactivation process there is. Secondly, the only way to cancel your enrollment is in writing, by mail, within 3 days of the date in which you enrolled.
If you fail this, then you will not receive a full refund. Wow, just….WOW!!!
2. Recruiting and meeting the Personal BV requirements on a monthly basis seems a bit scandalous to me.
At the very least, this means that you have to generate and close the deal every month consistently.
And for those who don’t know how to do this, this can be tough to do as a newbie.
This brings me to my next point.
3. This company is far from newbie friendly.
From reviewing so many MLMs I have come to the conclusion that one of the major reasons that people fail at MLMing is because they have no clue how to recruit and generate leads.
This company is no exception to that rule.
4. Another reason I don’t think this company is as great as it claims to be is that the PAKS are expensive.
Imagine trying to sell a monthly supply of this stuff for $499.95 to someone.
You will get laughed out of the room 99 out of 100 times and that is a lot of time and money wasted.
The Final Verdict
OK look, I came down pretty hard on this company because there are some obvious truths that the company and their consultants refuse to address.
With that being said, the company is still in business and seems to be doing well.
However, Zurvita International has expensive products, offers nothing revolutionary, a compensation plan based on recruiting and is not newbie friendly.
Therefore, I cannot recommend this company to anyone unless you are an experience MLMer with some spare money at your disposal.
