Whenever a cop stops you, the first thing that comes into your mind is the possibility of having committed something wrong. That was the case when Kristen Lawrence was stopped by Captain Fetner. At that time, Kristen was accompanied by her 3-year-old son, Carter, and they were headed to Arby’s in Clanton, AL. They wanted to get something to eat. When the car stopped, the little boy told the police they were going to eat a bite. That is when the officer asked him whether he liked curly fries and jokingly told him to bring him some. While Mom and the officer were aware of the job, the boy took the statement seriously. When they reached at the drive-thru, Carter told mom they have to get the officer some fires. That was the start of the friendship between the two. The officer invited them for lunch and even gave Carter a badge and gave him the title of honorary Clanton Officer.
