Those who give birth to healthy babies or are born healthy may fail to realize how fortunate they are. We have to experience what those who are less fortunate are going through to get the correct reality check. The bad thing is, sometimes children end up giving us that reality check. Nicolly Pereira’s case is a good example. She was born blind and the sight which most of us take for granted was a dream for her. Luckily, she had a determined mother who was not going to lose hope about her fate. She set up a fundraising that raised around $17,000 and then left Brazil - their home country- to America to seek for treatment.
