There’s A Mysterious Illness Scaring Lives In Washington- Watch This!

A mysterious disease has been discovered in Washington State and it’s affecting kids. Global News reports that the disease, which seems somewhat similar to polio, is characterized by a neurological disorder that results in weakness of the victim’s limbs. According to the CDC, the suspected causal factor of the disease is thought to be Acute Flaccid Myelitis (AFM). However, there’s no cause for much alarm as, according to Dr. Scott Lindquist – an epidemiologist dealing with communicable infections in Washington State- the disease is neither fatal nor contagious.  This follows after a 6-year-old boy suspected of having contacted the disease died recently. However, the consequent tests carried out and confirmed to Global News indicated that the boy was actually clear of AFM.
