Here’s a Hyperlapse Journey Through the Ancient City of Rome

Ukranian timelapse photographer Kirill Neiezhmakov has released a gorgeous new short film titled, “A Gift from Rome.” It’s a timelapse and hyperlapse journey through the Eternal City with creative transitions.

“Rome has endured for over 2,800 years and has a history and an appeal like no other city in the world,” Neiezhmakov says. “The mixture of the modern city and the plethora of monuments, piazzas, villas, museums, churches, Egyptian obelisks, along with the Colosseum, the Forum and Vatican City results in an epic, glorious ambience that will have you hooked and anticipating your next visit.”

On the technical side of things, the photos were captured with two Canon 60D DSLRs and one 70D, along with an assortment of lenses (Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6, Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8, Samyang 8mm f/3.5, Canon 17-55mm f/2.8, and Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L). Software used in post-production included Adobe After Effects, Lightroom, and LRTimelapse.

You can find more of Neiezhmakov’s work on Facebook and Instagram.
