Listen to the first new LCD Soundsystem music since they reunited
At long last, this is happening.
LCD Soundsystem announced on Facebook that they're releasing new music nearly a year and a half after sharing their plans to bring the band back from the dead. "Call the Police" and "American Dream" will be available at midnight local time tonight, but you can listen to a clip below via BBC Radio.
The band played both new songs at a recent string of New York City dates at Brooklyn Steel and have more festival dates lined up this summer.
In the Facebook post, Murphy reveals that the album is in its final mixing stages, but it may still be a while before we hear it, because having vinyl available on the release date is a priority for him. But he'll try and get that all finished up so he can have a social life again. Read more...
