This 10-year-old's t-shirt company celebrates black skin, beauty, and joy
Kheris Rogers is proud of her complexion — and she wants other black girls to feel the same.
At just 10 years old, Rogers is fighting racism and colorism with a new line of empowering t-shirts called Flexin' In My Complexion.
The unapologetic phrase is displayed on each t-shirt in the line, referencing the hashtag #FlexinInMyComplexion that gained popularity on Black Twitter in 2015.
"I wanted to create this clothing line to inspire other people to be confident and comfortable in their skin," Rogers says. "The reason why the font on our Classic shirts is so bold is because we wanted the shirts to be just as bold as the message." Read more...
