Johnny Depp would like to apologize for that 'bad joke' about Donald Trump's assassination
Less than 24 hours since his foreboding question to a Glastonbury crowd, Johnny Depp has issued an apology.
During remarks that proceeded a film screening, Depp suggested Donald Trump should be in attendance before asking "when was the last time an actor assassinated a president?" The uncomfortable joke sparked headlines and controversy, and now the actor is back-pedaling.
“I apologize for the bad joke I attempted last night in poor taste about President Trump,” Depp said in a statement to People. “It did not come out as intended, and I intended no malice. I was only trying to amuse, not to harm anyone.” Read more...
