Tesla sends out invites to private Model 3 event
Tesla's eagerly anticipated Model 3 all-electric car is about to take its next big step: delivery to the very first customers.
Who happen to be employees.
That's right, those lucky enough to get their hands on and drive off with the $35,000, electric, four-door sedan will be those who helped design and build the groundbreaking car, which travels 215 miles on a single charge and can do zero-to-60 mph in under 6 seconds (by contrast, the Model S can travel 315 miles on a charge and do zero-to-60 in roughly 3 seconds).
