What that ultra-creepy Bran/Sansa reunion on 'Game of Thrones' means

There must always be a Stark in Winterfell, and on Sunday's Game of Thrones, after many years, there were two. 

Little Brandon Stark (not so little anymore) finally came home, but he and sister Sansa are vastly different people from who they were when she first left home.

We knew Bran was on his way back, but haven't heard from him since episode 1. When a knight said "Lady Sansa — at the gate," we knew what was coming just from his tone. Bran's arrival in Winterfell shocks everyone, not just his sister. He was supposed to have been killed by Theon Greyjoy (tbt), and even since then he's been so removed from all of Westeros that people considered him all but dead (a common state of being for Starks).
