Absolutely no one is saying 'hold my avocado'
If you've never heard any reasonably young person say the phrase "hold my avocado," well, you're far from alone.
Yet TIME, the home of the latest in youth trends, published an article on Thursday stating that it was the "viral catchphrase millennials having been looking for" and it had become a favourite of the difficult to reach 18-30-year-old demographic.
The assessment was based off a tweet by Google Ventures partner and coiner of youth words, Ken Norton, on Wednesday, riffing off the time-tested internet phrase "hold my beer."
