Amazon Prime members could starting getting Whole Foods discounts as soon as this Monday
Whole Foods is about to get a lot cheaper for Amazon Prime customers.
The online shopping giant said Thursday that it will offer supermarket discounts to members of the program starting when the $13.7 billion deal closes next Monday.
The company also said Whole Foods' famously steep prices would be lowered across the board for all customers.
"We're determined to make healthy and organic food affordable for everyone," said Amazon Worldwide Consumer CEO Jeff Wilke in a statement. "Everybody should be able to eat Whole Foods Market quality — we will lower prices without compromising Whole Foods Market's long-held commitment to the highest standards." Read more...
