Enhanced 'Rise of the Tomb Raider' shows off the power of the Xbox One X
Rise of the Tomb Raider is shaping up to be a centerpiece of the young Xbox One X's library of "enhanced" games. Not surprising, given how amazing the game looks on a tricked out gaming PC.
This latest Rise trailer clarifies what "enhanced" actually means for Xbox users. Central to it is a choice between three different modes: "Native 4K," for the highest resolution; "Enriched Visuals," to turn on more graphical bells and whistles; and "High Frame Rate," which shoots for that 60 FPS sweet spot.
The post-patch game will also support things like HDR, spatial audio (via Dolby Atmos), and — thanks to the One X's bumped-up memory — improved texture resolution, lighting effects, and reflections in general. Read more...
