Nestlé Unleashes Cough Drop Flavored Kit Kat in Japan
Nestlé has just released its new flavor for its Kit Kat brand in Japan, and fans are having second thoughts on whether it’s actually good or not.
According to Nestlé, the new Kit Kat Nodo Ame Aji, which literally translates to Kit Kat Cough Drop Flavor, contains 2.1% of throat lozenges powder for each serving, SoraNews24 reported.
The cough powder is kneaded into the white chocolate found in the Kit Kat, the company explained, further adding that this new mix will provide a “fresh and invigorating flavor.”

Nestlé Japan is well known for its incredibly unusual limited-time edition Kit Kat flavors. The company released several in the past that are actually quite interesting such as the Strawberry and Blueberry Cheesecake flavors, as seen on Kotaku’s list.
Of course, it would not be complete without the really exotic ones like Kit Kat Wasabi, Hot Japanese Chili and Red Bean Sandwich.
The limited-edition Kit Kat Cough Drop Flavor is only available from August 21 to September 10 at convenience stores across Japan for 140 yen ($1.28).
