Why you should be paying attention to Davos Seaworth on 'Game of Thrones'
If all of Game of Thrones had an MVP, it'd be this week's clear winner: Ser Davos Seaworth, the Onion Knight. Davos has survived many years in the hellhole that is Westeros, not by being cunning or manipulative, but by trusting his instincts.
In "Eastwatch," Davos does his best to talk sense into the hubristic leaders on every side of him, all while traveling Westeros at the speed of light and rescuing Gendry from purgatory apprenticeship.
Davos is, consistently, the only person talking any sense on this show. He is a vocal advocate of not burning people alive and even though he once supported Stannis, he's put that behind him. He's one of only a few characters who could say something like "Thought you might still be rowing" to Gendry without making me scream (I was already screaming bc Gendry). Read more...
