Emma Stone talks tennis, sexism, and anxiety on Colbert
Hillary Clinton is a hard act to follow, but Emma Stone managed it with panache.
Stone came on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night to promote her upcoming movie Battle of the Sexes, the story of the 1973 tennis match between Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs. Stone talks about hanging out with King, having previously known nothing about tennis.
Then her and Colbert talk about anxiety, something which Stone has been dealing with from a young age. Both guest and host talk about the paradoxical nature of being a performer with anxiety — namely that even though it is intensely stressful, performing has been helpful to both of them. Read more...
