The first day at school is an exciting albeit tense milestone for everyone, even more so for someone who's been under intense media attention since his birth.
An apprehensive Prince George started his first day at Thomas's Battersea, clutching firmly his father William's hand as his mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, was still unwell from severe morning sickness.
Prince William drove his son through the school gates and carried his bag as the pair walked up to the entrance.
