Mark Zuckerberg on DACA repeal: 'This is a sad day for our country'
Mark Zuckerberg is taking is strongest political stance yet—and calling for action.
Just minutes after Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced the repeal of the DACA immigration program, the CEO of Facebook posted on Facebook.
"This is a sad day for our country. The decision to end DACA is not just wrong. It is particularly cruel to offer young people the American Dream, encourage them to come out of the shadows and trust our government, and then punish them for it," Zuckerberg wrote.
On Monday, the Trump administration announced the repeal of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), a program that protected the children of illegal immigrants from being deported in the United States.
