Big, beautiful photos of the BlackBerry Motion
BlackBerry announced that there's a new flagship smartphone on the way, the "Motion," and this time it won't include one of its signature physical keyboards.
The Motion follows the Priv and the KeyOne: It runs a mostly stock version of Android (based on version 7.1 Nougat), and features relatively high-end specs, like the 1080p display and 4GB of RAM.
Most of all, however, the phone is IP67 rated, which means it has a good level of water and dust resistance, and also has a gigantic, almost tablet-size 4000mAh battery, which might make the Motion last much longer than the typical smartphone.
Here it is, in all of its BlackBerry glory:
The Motion features a 5.5-inch, 1080p screen at the front, which prompted BlackBerry to eliminate its signature physical keyboard altogether.
The keyboard was present on both the Priv and the KeyOne, but the only thing that populates the Motion's front, other than the display, is a BlackBerry-branded fingerprint reader.
Here is the Motion compared to the KeyOne: It's a little bigger, but it accommodates a much larger display.
