Pre-order the Xbox One X and get three free games right now
It’s not out until November 7, but there are already some decent bundles to be had for Microsoft’s Xbox One X.
When it launches, the 4K console will be the most powerful on the market but at £449.99, it’s also going to be the most expensive. Fortunately, Currys PC World currently has a pre-order deal that’ll make your pennies go a little further.
Right now, you can pre-order the Xbox One X and get Forza Motorsport 7, Halo 5 Guardians and Quantum Break for £449.99, the same price you’ll find the console available on its own at most other retailers at the moment. This means you’re essentially getting three games for free.
4K fantastic
Forza Motorsport 7 was released only this month and it’s being touted as one of the key games to play on the 4K console. Considering Amazon’s Xbox One X bundle which includes this one game costs a much higher £489.98, Currys PC World deal is well worth considering.
Though Halo 5 Guardians and Quantum Break are older Xbox titles, they are two of the many games Microsoft has said will receive Xbox One X Enhanced patches.
Though an Xbox One Enhanced patch doesn’t necessarily mean a game will run in 4K, it’s been confirmed that both of these titles will run in 4K on the Xbox One X so you’ll get to enjoy the main resolution advantage the console is offering.
We're somewhat surprised to see such good bundles for the console already, given it's taken so long for the Nintendo Switch to start offering attractive bundles.
That said, the Xbox One X will be in an interesting position when it launches on November 7; it's a time that's close to both Black Friday and Christmas when every other console on the market will be offering exciting and affordable bundles.
We expect for many the Xbox One S and Sony's 4K competitor the PS4 Pro will be appealing alternatives based on price alone and Microsoft will have to do something more to push the One X than tout its power.
It's also worth Microsoft's time to bundle in plenty of games with the console to make sure those who aren't aware of the extent of the Xbox One family's cross compatibility will know they'll have a solid catalog of games to access at launch.
- Currys PC World will have even more great deals this Black Friday and you can keep up with them here
