Rebel Wilson hits out on Twitter after Bauer Media appeal defamation settlement
The battle is not over for Rebel Wilson.
The Pitch Perfect star has to face another legal challenge as Bauer Media is appealing against the multi-million dollar settlement she received on a defamation case.
Wilson brought Bauer Media to court over a series of defamatory articles that appeared in Woman's Day over the course of 2015. In September, the Supreme Court of Victoria ruled in Wilson's favour and awarded her of A$4.5 million (US$3.6 million).
Bauer Media's general counsel Adrian Goss said: "It's important for us to revisit this unprecedented decision on the quantum of damages, which also has broad implications for the media industry," Read more...
