Seth Meyers roasts Republicans' messy, angry protest against Trump impeachment inquiry
During Late Night with Seth Meyers' A Closer Look segment on Wednesday night, the host turned his attention to the Trump administration trash fire – which, to be fair, is pretty hard to ignore. Said fire continues to burn apace, with a CNN poll finding 50 percent of Americans are begging for it to stop, and for Trump to be impeached and removed from office.
"You know Trump saw that CNN poll because he watches cable news all the time," said Meyers. "His staff probably had to edit the clip on his DVR and hope he didn't notice."
Meyers also considered the bizarre progression of the White House's reaction to the alleged quid pro quo with Ukraine, which went from straight-up denial to acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney telling the whole briefing room "we do that all the time." Read more...
