The first reactions to 'Terminator: Dark Fate' show the franchise's future looks bright
It's been 28 years since Terminator 2: Judgement Day was released in theatres, but markedly fewer years since we've heard from the franchise. Though various other films tried to capture the success of the first two Terminator movies, few were well-received, and the series seemed to languish.
Now, Terminator's original writer and director James Cameron has returned to the franchise to produce Terminator: Dark Fate, a film that mercifully ignores the shenanigans that took place from Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines onward.
